Subject: Big Read Project

The Orange Library Association (OLA) invites all adult artists to create artwork for its October countywide The Big Read project. Works in any medium will be accepted, and should be based on themes from the tales and poems of Edgar Allan Poe. A list of themes is availble through the Art Show Coordinator, Debbie Hurd (845-5633646 or dhurd@rcls.org). The Art Show will be held throughout the month of October at the Orange County Government Center's art gallery in Goshen.

For more information or to register for the exhibit, contact Debbie Hurd at 845-563-3646 or dhurd@rcls.org before September 15. Exhibition space is limited, so register early. Delivery and pickup information will be sent to registered artists by September 15.

The Orange County Library Association's 2010 Big Read initiative, which encourages area residents to read and share the same book, is supported by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and funding from local service organization and Friends of Library groups. The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Arts Midwest. The 2010 Big Read is sponsored by the 17 public libraries in Orange County.
