If you are looking for some Native American activities then plan on spending the entire weekend at The Crystals Center, 116 Sullivan St., Wurtsboro NY starting on Friday July 30th at 6:30pm. Grandmother Nancy, a wise & colorful Ojiibe & Micmac Elder, will be sharing her knowledge regarding Native American cultures. On Friday she will be talking about the relationship we have with the animals – When Animals Speak. What can we learn from them; what are their messages and how to recognize your power animal.

On Saturday July 31st at 11:30am she will share her knowledge about Black Elk and the 7 Fire Prophecy associated with the Anishinaabe peoples. Each prophecy, called a fire, referred to a particular era of time that would become the future. We are in the 7th fire – what does that mean to us? At 4:00pm enjoy a Crystals Experience Workshop with Grandmother Nancy as she explains the Native American relationship with crystals & minerals. Bring your own crystals and recognize spirits in them!

On Sunday August 1st at 12:30pm she will explain the mystery of the Moon Lodge & Women’s Teachings. It is an ancient women’s ceremony. Modern society does not look at things like the native women did so she is sharing the teachings now so everyone can understand and respect this beautiful ritual.

Then to close out the weekend, at 4:30pm, Grandmother Nancy will talk The Truth About the Sweat Lodge. What to expect when participating in this purification ceremony and what will the experience mean to you. You will also learn about the respectful and honorable way in which these lodges need to be built and conducted.

You must sign up to have a seat reserved for you. Call 845.888.2547 or email crystalscenter@gmail.com for more information or to make a reservation. Each seat is $20.00 per class and the suggested donation to Grandmother Nancy each class is $25.00. This is a special one-time event so don’t miss it!
