The Guiding Light Metaphysical Society will hold it’s regular monthly meeting on Monday September 13th in the Walker Valley Schoolhouse, 6 Marl Rd. & Route 52, Walker Valley NY. Meditation is at 6:30pm and a discussion will follow about the upcoming earth changes as predicted by the Hopi Indians, Michael-Gordon Scallion and others. We expect to have two guests with us this evening who will be sharing their insights into the expected earth changes: Bob Malanka who feels Scallion’s predictions are very accurate and Mark Watkins who will share the Native American’s thoughts on the whole situation. The Walker Valley Community Enhancement Committee will hold their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday September 15th at 7:00pm in the schoolhouse. Winners of the “Chuck-a-Buck for your Community” raffle prizes will be announced. The WVLY CEC wants to thank the following local businesses who donated items that made this fundraiser so successful: 1846 House Soaps, Wiand Wellness, Luigi’s Pizza, Pudgy’s Pizza, Walker Valley Vet., Abundant Life Farm and Walker Valley Auto. The committee would also like to thank the ladies auxiliary for hosting the raffle portion of the fundraiser. They especially want to thank all of YOU who were generous in your support of the committee and helped make the winter theme pole banner campaign worthwhile. The new banners will be ordered shortly and should be in place before the first snowflake appears.

There will be a NYS Rifle & Pistol Association Political Victory Fund Sporting Clays Fundraiser Shoot to be held at the Wallkill Rod & Gun Club, 316 Bruyn Turnpike, hamlet of Wallkill NY on Saturday September 25th starting at 10:00am. Highlights of the event include 100 birds sporting clays with optional 5-member teams; awards go to high overall, high woman, high junior, high team & Lewis Class awards.

If you pre-register by September 17th the cost per shooter is $100.00. After that date the cost is $125.00 per shooter. Cost includes a braised breast of pheasant lunch. The activities are lining up for Pure Symmetry’s first Holistic Experience taking place on Saturday September 26th in their fitness facility. If all goes well, owner Debbie Hauser says they will have world renowned Psychic Jane Doherty there to do psychic readings [for entertainment purposes only]. Other expected guests include Jeremy Fulton, who will be showing us Tai Chi techniques; Kirsten Drossel who will be sharing her knowledge of organic foods and ways to prepare it; Cephora from The Crystals Center will be there to help us understand the value of crystals; Corrina Carfizzi from The White Lotus will be there to provide some Reiki/Chakra Healing Energy sessions; Adrianna Nunez will be working her henna art magic and Dr. Anthony Manoy, D.C. will be there to provide movement & posture evaluations.

The Town of Shawangunk will be holding a Rabies Clinic on Friday September 24th from 6:00-7:30pm at the police station, Route 208 in the hamlet of Wallkill. Rabies shots are $10.00 each and there will be other shots available for dogs & cats for an additional charge per shot. Dogs must be on a leash and cats in carriers.
