A stabbing sensation engulfs the stallions core. Pain? Why do the insides of this mighty beast quiver and ache. His eyes lock to hers and all vision is lost as if being dragged into her. In a whirlwind of uncomprehendable sights, pain radiating through him, her pain. In a flash, there was nothing, nothing but her eyes staring back at him. "I do not know what just happened to me, never the less, I feel you inside of me. I feel your pain. You will stay with me now, I will keep you safe or die trying." Circling the mare, not sure how to act, should he stay alert, guarding or does he simply embrace all that she is? Using his chisled head, he pulls her tight to his side. "I will protect you." In the silence that follows, all that is audible is the gentle breeze, and somewhere, the steed can hear a drum, low and steady. Then it is gone. Did he really hear it?
