Relay for Life Children’s Pageant will begin at 8:30am.
Categories age start times: We do not combine or eliminate categories.
Wee Baby Queen & King...0-6 months...8:30am Tiny Queen & King...5 years...11:30am

Entry Fees are $25 per contestant in the children’s pageant and INCLUDES photogenic. Siblings will receive a $5 discount from their entry fee. Please make staff aware of this discount. Photographs must be submitted with entry form (please write name of child on back of photograph!). Door entries will be accepted 30 minutes prior to start of your division with a $10 late fee.
Awards: queen/king received a crown, monogrammed banner, & medallion; runners-up & photogenic winners will receive medallions. Each child will receive a participation prize.
Attire is Sunday best for children age 0-9years (No pageant wear, excessive makeup or “big hair” will be accepted for this division). Girls 10-13 years may wear formal, tea length, or party wear. This is a natural beauty pageant.

Age is as of the date of the pageant. You may not move divisions. All divisions will begin promptly at noted times. Please be seated 5 minutes prior to your division.

Admission is $5 per person for those 5 years and older and $1 for those under age 5.

Score sheets will be available with a $1 fee and a self-addressed, stamped envelope sent with registration. Please allow 3-4 weeks to receive your scores and comments.

Teen Queen… 14-16 years Ms. Queen… 24 and older

Miss Queen …17-23 years
A contestant participating in the Teen and Miss Division of the pageants must be single, must never have been married, and must never have been pregnant nor have given birth to a child. A contestant participating in the Ms. Division must be 24 years or older. She may or may not be married, divorced, or widowed. She may or may not have children. All contestants must be of good moral character and have never been convicted of a felony. All contestants will be required to sign a "Queens Agreement" prior to interviews (which will be notarized). Newly crowned royalty will remain under the supervision of the directors at the Relay for Life Event that evening till 6am with the exception of the Teen Queen, who may leave at 11pm. All contestants should be prepared, in the event that they should be the person crowned, to stay that evening and participate in the Relay for Life festivities. Please pack a small bag with comfortable clothes and shoe.
Entry Fees are $50 per contestant and INCLUDES photogenic. All contestants should submit a 5x7 photo (no larger) to be used for Most Photogenic Award. Photographs must be submitted with entry form (please write name on back of photograph). Door entries will be accepted 30 minutes prior to interview with a $10 late fee and must be accompanied by 5 copies of your bio sheet.
Awards for queens consist of use of custom crown for her year of reign and will receive a token crown & scholarship money ($ to be determined) upon relinquishing her title, monogrammed banner, flowers, medallion, and prize basket. There will be a 1st and 2nd alternate which will receive a medallion. All photogenic and people’s choice winners will receive picture frames.
The competition consists of the following segments:
INTERVIEW at 1:30pm at Ville Platte High Gymnasium: All divisions will have 5 minute round robin interview. Attire is interview suit or business attire. Please be registered and seated by 1:00 pm for orientation, rehearsal, discussion of contract, and signing & notarizing of contract.
EVENING GOWN Competition 4:00pm at the Ville Platte High Gymnasium: Attire is formal wear.
ON STAGE INTRODUCTION: It should be no more than 30 seconds and contain only biographical information (example: a 30 second commercial about you). This will not be scored! There is no on stage question.

Scores: $5 and a self addressed envelope, you may receive your scores 3-4 weeks after the pageant.
