I know you guys hate it when people advertise on your message board -but i figured this would be of intrest to some of you hardcore kids. And yes i know that deflatio isnt exactly hardcore but anyway i just finished reading this exellent book called AMERICAN HARDCORE-a tribal History by Steven Blush. its a real great book that isnt just the author rambeling on about his opinions its a collection of quotes, interviews, song lyrics from the greatest hardcore bands point of views'. it covers everything from the history of hardcore to sex, drugs, straight edge, racism and religion and explains how they were incorporated in to the hardcore scene.--also another great book that isnt so much a bout music and is indeed just the rambeling of the author is a book called MY WORLD rambeling of aging gutter punk By the dude from the band fifteen Jeff Ott. so if ya get around to it check these two books out-MY WORLD is great its like my fuckin bible. Just me they're worth the two hours they each take to read.
