Hi Steve and Alfred, in reply to your questions.

Q: "Do we need to make any bookings for our channel crossings from UK to continent or returning?"

A: As it says in the regulations, the outgoing channel crossing is included in the entry fee so you don't need to book this yourself.

With crews returning to the UK at different times the return crossing is not included. Don't rush to book your return crossing until you've received further bulletins.

Q regarding low cars: The ramps leading onto boat car decks or tunnel trains require an element of care. Especially if your car has little ground clearance. I once was unable to drive onto and off the starting ramp of an international rally without assistance.

Q: "As I am Dutch I can’t imagine that we will travel through Holland from the south to the east without making use of motorways. If one does it will take more than a full day for this enterprise"

A: Alfred, the whole route avoids motorways, but as you say that's difficult crossing Holland in one day. Correction, a bit of England, France, Belgium and Holland, in one day.
