How about a different class structure for next time, to reflect the way things have evolved?

Class 1. Factory/production plastic sports cars ( Elise type things)
Class 2. Handbuilt/homebuilt cars ( Liege, Striker etc.)
Class 3. Pre-cat Classic sports cars ( Healey, MGB, Porsche)

There's no need to split cars by capacity. Look what happened this year. Would make things fairer and easier administer.
The only spanner in the works is where to put Caterhams. By rights, they should be in class 2, but many are factory built. Food for thought though. (Fingernail inspection maybe??)

P.S. Yes, of course I've got a vested interest! But anyone who suggests classes for any motorsport has......
