This decision to ban BECs seems crazy. As has been said above, there was FAR more variation in driver ability than there was in car performance, to the point that IMHO some of those drivers really shouldn't have been out on track in those conditions. With regard to the cars, I can understand the decision if there had been a complete whitewash of the results by BECs, but the results don't show this at all.

Once loaded with 2 people as they are at the GOME, the power-to-weight ratio of a BEC is fairly well dented anyway.

Please can we let common sense prevail here - if you are going to ban a 900cc bike engined Seven because it is too fast compared to a Reliant Kitten (for example), then surely you should also look at banning the 7 litre T70 replica or the several turbo'd CECs that were present as well? Soon you'll only have Elises left.

I'm a CEC driver by the way....
