Subject: Peter has finally done it....

Thanks from me too to Peter, Carol and the marshalling team.

Despite the new (pre Santiago) SS exhaust parting at the 2-1 weld just before lunch, hopefully no one wil notice the missing stand from the pit fence that we modified to use as a junction piece between manifold and silencer ;-))) anyway we finished... though for those of you who missed the final lap... losing power at just short of the pit turn on our last stint and quickly killing the engine after the "bang". Inspection shows a 2-3 inch hole in the block side wall and various pieces of engine internals in melted form on the wrong side... Looks like an upgraded engine is now required... anyone need a good set of Webber 40's, cvh parts, alternator, etc just contact me! also nice coffee table based on a Ford Motorsort / Procomp cvh!
