Go on James, let someone drive the 'the beast' and properly enter the event with shared driving and navigating. You might actually enjoy it and feel that you are legitimately competing on level ground with the rest of us! With trust working both ways, you really feel that it's a team effort completing the event! I drove all the way in Sardinia, as my co-driver, Martyn Fuller had 2 broken legs, so couldn't use his feet in the pedalbox. Although I lost 2 inches off my waistline and thoroughly enjoyed the driving, I felt that is wasn't quite the same 'shared' effort. And certainly Fuller felt a little like he'd missed out.

Anyway the cripple is back (both feet working) and we will be a proper team again this september. Really looking forward to it!

cheers,

Spike
