Well, well, well, what a surprise? Well done Alex & Bex Wong, Roger Swift, Gordon Cardew,& their team manager B.E.Swift also Lee Finch, John Sweeney, Reg Shanahan & Tony Blunden.
Especially John Sweeney, who had never driven a Caterham before the day. My car was only revving to 4000 RPM on the way to Mallory tried to fix it before the start, to no avail so was running at only two thirds power. Just as well with the conditions as they were. So it really was unexpected. When we left Mallory, we drove to Fishguard caught the overnight ferry to Ireland had five days doing old rally routes in west Cork with the Mini Cooper register. When I got back put it on a diagnostic machine and found the problem was the air temperature sensor on the inlet manifold. Bloody modern Cars...!!!
