Hear Ye, Hear Ye. At the meeting last night, it was decided to nominate and elect officers for the club, at the February 8th meeting. I cannot stress enough how important this will be in decieding the future of our club. Please MAKE your voice be heard and somehow contact RUTS regaurding nominations!!!

Yes some of Eldorado NF has seasonal closure, PiPi and Elkins Flat are apart of that but if you read between the line Georgetown has it's own wet weather closer system and as long as there is less than 1.5 inches of water on the ground it stays open. The south side is close for the Enviormental Wackos but the rest of the area is open pending on we weather. So enjoy.

The following is from the BlueRibbon Coalition...

WHAT: There will be a grassroots rally in support of keeping California State Park's Carnegie State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) open and to voice opposition to efforts by anti-OHV recreation groups to close the SVRA to OHV recreation. Speeches, parades, and other activities are expected.

WHO: Thousands of SF Bay Area off-roaders, kids riding clubs, families, and friends are expected to be at the SVRA on Monday, December 28 to join in a rally with OHV leadership from the BlueRibbon Coalition, AMA District 36, other clubs, famous off-road racers, OHV businesses, and others.

WHEN: OHV leadership will be at the park on December 28, 2009, from when it opens at 8:00 am until closing at sunset. Speeches by OHV representatives, famous racers, and other personalities will start at noon.

WHERE: Carnegie SVRA, 18600 Corral Hollow Road, Tracy CA 95736

WHY: OHV leadership and users believe that anti-OHV groups are enacting their political agenda by suing to close a popular OHV state park in the SF Bay Area. The park has been ordered closed on December 29, 2009 to all users.

12-17-2009 Carnegie is open, Ruts as been asked if We could help out on 12-18-2009 informational help only letting people know not to ride in the creak bottom, the dry creak bottom. If anyone can help it would be a big feather in the clubs hat.
WE will meet at Carnegie at 9 A.M. 12-18-2009, tell them at the front gate your their to volunteer With Joe Ramos the Superintendent. They should have coffee and donuts, and pizza for lunch. All were going to do is help to see that people aren't riding in the creak bottom and then we can go ride as much as We want. Conditions for Carnegie don't get any better then what they are right now.

RUTS NORTH CHRISTMAS PARTY -- TIM, 16:59:52 12/04/09 Fri [1]

RUTS North Christmas pary with be Saturay December 12th tenatively at 3pm at Woodbridge Pizza.
We are encourageing everyone to attend the yearly District 36 sanctioning meeting for all District off road motorcycle clubs.
After the meeting we will then have the Christmas party.
We will be sending out a mass email to everyone giving the time and location and map.
Please come and attend and you can bring your $50 crab feed donation if you so want to.

The events board shows a Christmas party at Scotts house 12-6-09. You click on events then you have to go to the bottom of the page and click events again.
We seem to have some issue's on when and were the next club meeting will be at the last meeting I believe it was agreed We would meet at the Reynolds home.
John Francis is trying to put a ride on this Saturday at Forest Hill count me in.
Let all the glory be to him Jesus are Lord and Savior.

Turkey Ride -- John, 09:21:30 11/21/09 Sat [1]

O.K., it's on! Friday November 27 @ 9:00am we will meet @ Pipi Valley bridge.That means from east bound Highway 88 take Omo Ranch Road/ Pipi Valley (left turn off the Highway), to North-South Road (approx. 1 mile). Turn right, follow road to bridge over river (approx.3-5 miles). Just cross over the bridge, turn left and we will be next to the river. If for some reason we can't get there due to weather, snow, or ice. We will go to the west end of Loop 33 from Omo Ranch Road. That means if North-South Road is not accessable, just drive further down Omo Ranch Road toward Omo Ranch and turn right @ the west entrance to the Gold Note Ridge riding area. Drive east on the road until it comes into the riding area. Park wherever you can on the road, we will do the same. May God Bless

Hey all there will be a Gran Prix style race at Boreal Ski resort this Sunday October 25th. Proceeds go to Jr Ski and Snowboard teams at Auburn ski club. The race is a senior project. Chalk Bluff Ride -- Tim, 09:22:07 10/16/09 Fri [1]

We will be having a RUTS North trail ride Saturday the 17th at Chalk Bluff ohv off hwy 20. Best single track in the area should be best conditions all year.

We will be meeting at the Ralleys parking lot at 8am. Direction: from the sacramento area or anywhere south west: Take hwy 80 east towards tahoe to Auburn. take the Foresthill exit, turn right and then get into the left turn at next stop light. turn left and Ralleys will be on your right hand side. Look for a platnum nissan fronteer with two bikes. We will be waiting untill 8:30 then leaving to chalk bluff.

Directions to chalk bluff and where we will be staging.: take hwy 80 east from the Foresthill exit and drive 40 miles to the hwy 20 exit. Exit hwy 20 and drive about 10 miles turn left on to dirt rd., dive stright and look for graveled staging area with bathrooms. There is a staging area on the right side of the rode but will will be on the left hand side down chalk bluff rd.

Hey all with the great conditions we have what about riding at Chalk Bluff instead of the Rubicon. Chalk Bluff in off hwy 20 between nevada city and hwy 80. Very good single track and with the rain it should be the best condition all year. If interested please email me at ktm200@volcano.net I need to know by friday at 5pm.

Please pray for Dustin Ferrante. He is a D36 racer and his wife Carla races Women Vet with me. He has head trauma,broken femur,broken vertebrae,and pelvic fracture suffered while riding at E street MX. He is currently in a drug induced coma and the family is waiting for CT scan results.

UPDATE-Dustin is being transferred to Sutter Roseville later today. The swelling in his head is going down and they hope to fix his femur and pelvis soon.

It was purchased with the idea that his hip was going to be OK. After two years he has had to have it replaced. He only got to ride it two times.

Ruts prayer warriors, please pray for the Herring family. Corey Herring past away due to head injuries sustained in a crash on Fathers day racing a desert race in the MRANN series. My son Garret and Corey where close friends and racing buddies. Garret and Corey started racing at age 10 in the desert and Corey had become quite the rider. His father Phil was behind him in the same race and rode up on the situation. "May the Lord grant comfort and strength during this tragic time" Godspeed Corey you will be missed!

For those of you poor souls who did not make the ride, I am deeply sorry for you. We had probably the best riding of a life time! It rained most every night leaving behind beautiful trails, deep berms and lightening speeds. Add to that some of the best folks I have ever had the opportunity to meet and you get a trip like no other. I have sent Tim all of my pics, I am sure he will post his and mine soon. Once again my regrets to those who missed out, but a huge THANKS to Katie and Kent for a fabulous time.

We just learned that John Borja has died. John was very active in RUTS before a back injury sidelined him. Many of us who have been involved with RUTS North over the years knew and loved John very much. He always had a smile on his face and treated everyone he knew fairly and lovingly.

Our loss is heaven's gain, but he will be missed.

Please keep Julie and the family in your prayers at this time.

Please Pray for Paul Zischa a D-36 racer who has been given 6 month's to live because of cancer. He just found this out. Fred has talked with him and he knows the Lord. Everyone, please check out the pics Tim and Darlene took this weekend. (see event pics) What a difference a day makes! The heavens opened up and poured on Sunday, but the racers still came out in droves. Fred slid through the pack for a 2nd. We had quite a few DNF's and a few DNS's (did not start) For the most part everyone was safe. But I don't think anyones brakes survived. The really big news, is we had a HUGE crowd on Sat night for Chapel. Thank you to Scott for an inspired message.

Our D36 outreach was again a site to behold. The motorhomes were arranged nicely in order to create a patio type setting, the Lampman's had the coffee and cookies out and both Fred and Scott were spirit led in their messages to both visitors and RUTS members. Three people raised their hands when the invitation was given to receive Christ as Lord of their lives and the fellowship both before and after the service was beautiful. If you can make Thunderhill next weekend, be sure to have your RUTS gear on, tell the Lord you are willing to be used and then get read, as He will be faithful to use you (us) for His glory.

Crab Feed Wind Down -- Doug R, 22:56:38 01/03/09 Sat [1]

Well the 7th Annual Crab Feed/Tri Tip Dinner is in the books and what an evening it was!! I am always so encouraged to when I see our clubs working together to bring people and Jesus together; and in this case through a large meal. Thanks to Central Coast for coming up from Santa Cruz; it is always soooo good to see you guys and gals. The prayer team set the stage. The raffle crew put together some exceptional gift packages. The invitation after Scott's message had at least seven people raise their hand to indicate a desire to receive Jesus into their lives. Our young servers again shone like stars; from set up to clean up. Thanks to Roger Straits for bringing the sound system and John Francis for the lobby display. These were just a few of the people that helped to make this event a winner again; hats off to each and every one. Without a doubt, our Lord was glorified tonight! The fellowship and comaradarie that was evident tonight is attractive to the world and they want what we have. Let us never take it for granted and continue to love those people into the kingdom. Thanks again one and all from the bottom of my heart I want you to know, it is an absolute pleasure serving with each and every one of you. May Peace and Blessings be yours.

That was awesome Tim, thanks again. I was told we could start at Michigan Bar, ride thru Robinson Flat, connect with the Tevis Cup trail for another 20 miles until you get to the wilderness boundary and then go back in reverse for a 60+ mile day. Maybe we could find a connector trail to get to the Soda Springs lodge for lunch?

Thanks for all your hard work on the ride, it was high mountain riding at its best. At this time Im sooo tired I cant spell my name, two days of fun and punishment has taken its toll.

HIGH SIERRA 250 DUAL SPORT RIDE -- Tim, 09:07:50 08/11/08 Mon [1]

HEY ALL, THE HIGH SIERRA 250 IS IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS. IF YOU THINK YOU WANT TO RIDE BUT STILL ARE NOT SURE PLEASE STILL LET ME KNOW SO I CAN MAKE ENOUGH ROUTE SHEETS. EVEN IF YOU ARE ONLY 50% THAT YOU CAN MAKE IT OR NOT I WOULD STILL LIKE TO KNOW JUST TO BE READY. I WOULD RATHER THROW THE EXCESS AWAY THAN NOT TO HAVE ENOUGH. SIGN IN WILL BE FROM 5:30PM TO 7PM ON FRIDAY AND FROM 5:30AM TO 8AM ON SATURDAY. IF YOU ARE BRINGING GPS BRING YOUR DADA CABLES, IF YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO EMAIL YOU THE GPS TRACKS LET ME KNOW. MAKE YOUR HOTEL RESERVATIONS AND MAKE SURE YOUR BIKE IS READY WITH A FULL TANK OF GAS. SEE EVERYONE AT ELKINS ON THE 23RD.

Aug Family Ride -- Mamaha, 10:17:55 07/18/08 Fri [1]

I hope everyone is ready for a FUN family ride. We will be hosting a family ride at Walker River Resort http://www.wrresort.com/ Aug 14-17. Everyone had a GREAT time last year, this may turn into an annual event. I know not all members read this forum so CALL some one and invite them. This is a wonderful place for the whole family. Hey Guys this sure sounds like a good time, you know if any folks from Ruts N. can not make the Walker ride, everybody is welcome to join us at Morning Star that same weekend, we well be camped in the back near Group site A. Dont be shy.

THIS YEARS DUAL SPORT RIDE IS SCHEDUALED TO TAKE PLACE SEPTEMBER 6TH AND 7TH AT THIS TIME. AS SOON AS I GET BACK FROM MY VACATION I WILL MAKE A FINAL DECISION AS TO DO THE RIDE OR NOT. IF WE DO THE RIDE IT WILL BE THE SEPTEMBER DATE, I AM ABOUT 70% ON DOING THE RIDE. LOOK FOR A POSTING FOR THE 2008 HIGHT SIERRA 200 AROUND THE END OF JUNE EARLY JULY.
