. the ebon cunnan observed a doe from the shadows of which he was made. crouching low, ears lie flat against the intelligent cranium. orange globes brim with light, the only visible bright emitting from his bodice. careful not to snap a twig, even, he stalks the doe for ten minutes; waiting, watching. they come to a river, where the female deer lowers her head to sip the aqua. an entertained look came about the wolf's features, as he loped forth silently. spring in his step, he flew upon the deer with a violent snarl. paws grip at her back, enamels sinking into her spine. clamping down, he does not release until the doe sinks to the terrain, all her life fleeing to the heavens. accomplished arrogance sets about the beast, as he drags the physique of the dead doe back to the mainlands .
