Full Moon was a small hamlet / group of buildings by a crossing on the Sirhowy Tramroad / Railway to the southwest of Crosskeys. I believe the public house was located there.
You can see it on a large scale map (25 inch to the mile) of circa 1885 on www.oldmaps.co.uk Enter Crosskeys as the Place Name and then scroll the map to the right so that North Risca (now called Newtown) is in the centre. Then click Enlarged View and Full Moon is shown there (but a bit hidden) to the west of Rock Vein colliery.
The area is now within the Sirhowy Valley Country Park and the one remaining building (which I believe was the crossing-keepers house) is used as a Visitor Centre and Wardens Base. If you are looking on a current map it is approx 600 yards west of the Full Moon roundabout on the A467 main road.
Hope this helps,
Andrew
