Yep- dirt floor! And at one point way in the back you had to duck to go under a large pipe. That would have been around 1961 thru 1968 when I was there. How safe do you think we would have been? I think the asbestos would hurt us more than and incoming aircraft.

Lunchtime at Anne Hutch: those ordering the hot lunch went to one line AND had to eat at separate tables. We also had to dump our trays and if there was any milk left in the carton, you had to dump it out into a large garbage can. There was always garbage floating in the milk. And it stunk! I think it was Tony, the custodian, who had to stand there and supervise the garbage dump.
