I remember trying to figure out if I ran faster in PF Flyers rather than Keds. My plaid 'Flyers were way cool.
I remember attaching a plastic thing with a buckle to the heal of my right shoe, to which was attached a plastic 'rope' and a ball. You'd kick your foot out so the ball could swing around and jump over it with your other foot. (What were those called?)
When the Johnny Carson Show was over, the tv station would do the Star-Spangled Banner and go to a test pattern until 6 a.m. The first show on tv was usually Modern Farmer and we had to wait until 7 a.m. for the cartoons to start.
