Someone else will have to fill in the details of the cause behind it but as I recall, Doc over reacted to a problem he was having with the students and without warning tried to put some severe restrictions on the student body. What I do remember clearly is the late David Locherie was the guy who stood up and yelled "You can't do that!" and that led to a total eruption in the auditorium which led to everyone boycotting classes. Doc soon realized the punishment didn't fit the crime and I don't remember any restictions that were put into place as a result. I wish I could remember what the problem was and I hope someone can fill in the blanks
