Why is this titled "Another Internet Time Waster?"

I found this site more than a year ago and have been using it quite a bit. I remember posting about it in the Eastchester Alumni Association group on Facebook not long ago. Unfortunately I do not remember if I ever posted about it here though I intended to do so.

I have found the Old Fulton New York Post Cards site to be very valuable for family research. Using it I was able to find information on my Great Grandfather and my Grandfather's business dealings plus many other relatives. That is in addition to finding articles relating to my and my brother's athletic activities in high school and college.

Since we are now the old ones we depended upon for family history and most, if not all, of our former resources are now gone this can be an invaluable research tool. I would hope that most of you take advantage of this site to learn more about yourselves and your families.

It is unfortunate that the site only covers NY newspapers. However, considering that some 26 million pages are available for research it is amazing that ONE man has done it all by himself. Maybe others can utilize his methods to do the same thing for other states. That would be great. Since a large part of my family cam from NJ I would hope someone starts there.
