The blue "torpedo back" Buick with the cream colored top was a 1947, not 1938. (There's a pic in my profile at Classmates dot com)The model was the "Super" which had the Roadmaster body and trim but the less expensive Special drive train. I had the car from 1971 through 1979 and then sold it to a friend. Last I heard the car was in Puerto Rico with plans for a restoration. It certainly deserves it. I cut my mechanical teeth on that car and had endless hours of fun driving it around while people would almost drive off the road staring at it strying to figure out what it was. If finances (and space) allowed I'd own another one. (I still remember the specs... .025 on the plugs, .015 on the points and valve lash!)and a three cell six volt battery of course with positive ground.
