For me, oldies music ends with the early 1960s. When the British came, the sound changed, and while there's lots of music from the mid-late 60s that I enjoy, it's not the same as the 50s and early 60s. I also like 30s and 40s music, for example, the original Ink Spots with Bill Kenney, Orville Hoppy Jones, et al., Artie Shaw (were there ever better dance tunes than "Begin the Beguine" or "Where or When"), and Lady Day ("Willow Weep for Me"). I've recorded my records (yes, records) onto cassettes to play in the car. All my favorites, commercial free. Do you remember ... ?
