Lived in the NW from 78-85(Portland/Vancouver and Seattle). You will have more than your share of rain, in fact, you will have weeks(possibly more) without alot of sun. My son is enjoying Portland, but he has not had the rain/overcast yet either. I am flying up to Portland Christmas week to see him and retrieve my car from him. I will then drive home to So California. I gave him 6 months to save some $$ to get his first car.
