All of us on this board were in Eastchester at some point, many of us left and some of us are still there.

What is the feeling of locals toward new people to Eastchester? Where are the newbies from?

We moved to SoCal five years ago and wound up here in Oregon where my husband is retiring. The Oregonians don't like us AT ALL. It's the old 'There goes the neighborhood' theme. We ain't done nuthin'!

It seems to be a familiar refrain in many places. Have those of you who moved elsewhere experienced resentment from locals? Is there anyplace where new people are actually welcomed?
