I am trying to raise the money for the queen to go to Charleston. This has never been done in the past so I am not sure how well I will do as this is the first year that I have directed this pageant. The queen will receive a $200.00 gift certificate from Michael's towards the purchase of the gown. If the total amount is not raised for the trip to Charleston, I am willing to work with the Queen to do fundraising events to help raise the money by the time the entry fee needs to be paid. The winner in each category will receive a sash, crown, trophy, crown pin and flowers. The first runner up will receive a sash and flowers. As for other gifts, I am not sure at this time. Photogenic will be picked in each category and Congeniality will be picked in the Queen and Jr. Miss Division.

The sash will not come from Jesse but only because I will be making the sash myself. It will be a satin sash with trim similar to the one for the Gassaway Days pageant if anyone has seen it. I also made that sash. It will be red and white with blue lettering and gold trim and some rhinestones.

I am the Queen of the Appalachian Autumn Festival and if it is the same as last year you get to call Jesse and order the sash yourself. They will pay up to $75.00 for a sash. My sash from last year is beautiful. This is a really fun pageant, I hope lots of you girls will compete. I think they are working on a nice prize package. Your reign is what you make of it. I think you should give this pageant a chance.

Danielle has been a great queen. I really appreciate all the support she has given me and this pageant as this is the first year that I have been the director. Queen's like these are the ones that make a director proud. Thanks for all your support Danielle!
