Subject: Certified MBA

I would like for everyone to check out the Certifiedmba.com webpage. This is a really neat webpage. USA Today had a neat article in it the other day which discussed the Certified MBA. I really think the Certified MBA will give graduates an advantage in the workforce.

What a joke. There are NO major recruiters that take this rediculous certification seriously. What about the thousands of MBAs who are currently working? Will they have to take this stupid exam as well? Ger real.

Check out this link and the quote by the Sr. VP of corporate banking of Bank of America. He seems real to me.

As a physician-MBA, I can tell you that everything in the healthcare field requires some sort of certification after formal training in order to get job. I'm sure, at first, physicians laughed when the specialty board exams came out. Although not required by law, a physician can't get a job without board certification and it is sometimes used against them in a malpractice case if they don't have have certification. Would you hire an accountant who is not a CPA? Would you hire a lawyer who has not passed the bar exam? Read the hand writing on the wall. As one of the first Certified MBAs, I can attest that this is the wave of the near future. You would be hard pressed to get hired as an MBA if you are not certified.

It's a very good idea. There are so many MBA-programs available everywhere in the world. Everyone who has a MBA should take the test and show what they can. A good objective meassurement for every MBA holder. Than it will be possible to compare all MBA-programs objetively.
It's very good for not accredited MBA-programs by AACSB
(American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business) so
it is proven that some of those MBA-Programs are also of
excellent quality. And quality is all what counts.
