Niatross was not the first racehorse, standardbred or thoroughbred, to win one million dollars in their career. Citation, the 1948 Triple Crown winner, was. He was kept in training with that goal in mind, and accomplished that feat in 1951. Niatross was the first racehorse of either breed to win two million dollars. So much for the "knowledgeable" writers!
