維護學術自主 為浸大六師說公道！

浸會大學校方最近推出新的聘用制度，改變行之有效的「實任制」，要求所有教職員簽約接受「新薪酬及福利獎勵制度」，事件引起牽然大波。六名資深教職員，包括教育學系講座教授劉誠先生、宗教及哲學系副教授龐思奮先生、經濟系副教授陳慶年先生、化學系副教授梁萬里先生、體育學系講師李文昌以及新聞系助理教授杜耀明，因為行使舊合約中的權利而拒絕簽署新約，面臨被解僱的威脅。我們一班浸大舊生，對事件深表憂慮及關注。

在推行新制的過程中，浸大校方的手法有多項值得商榷之處，包括：未能有效回應新制威脅學術自由的憂慮；以「一刀切」手法，強制所有教職員轉用新制，不接受者即面臨解僱；以不同藉口拒絕與代表教職員的工會就事件對話等等；均令人憂慮到，事件對浸大日後的發展可能造成的不良影響。

再者，六名教職員均為廣受尊重、充滿熱誠、表現優秀的好教授，在浸大春風化雨十多二十載，建樹良多。在今次事件中，六人均本着良心及原則出發，以學術自由為重，表現了學者應有的風範。我們認為，浸大校方應該正視教職員的訴求，立即：

１． 解散「解除聘任委員會」，撤回解僱六人的決定；
２． 與代表教職員的工會展開對話，尋找解決事件的良方；
３． 所有的方案，均應以尊重學術自由出發，照顧浸大的長遠發展。
