Subject: Mondo Esoterica Guide to Universal Horror

This online reference is a smaller one and mainly centers on the first horror cycle and Lugosi and Karloff. Comments are welcome.

An interesting site. The author knows the history of the studio, but seems a less than enthusiastic fan of the Universal horrors. Of the five films reviewed here - The Black Cat (1934), Black Friday (1940), The Invisible Ray (1936), Murders in the Rue Morgue (1932) and The Raven (1935) - only The Invisible Ray is given a "highly recommended" rating. The author does praise The Black Cat, but dislikes its ending.

The site also refers to Dracula's Daughter (1936) as a "smart sequel", and I would certainly agree.
