Subject: R.I.P. Turhan Bey 1922-2012

Turhan Bey is best known for playing the High Priest, "Mehemet Bey" in "The Mummy's Tomb."

Most horror fans will also remember him from his part in "The Mad Ghoul" as Evelyn Ankers love interest.

The marjority of the movies Turhan Bey appeared in were from Universal, but except for The Mummy's Tomb, Mad Ghoul, The Climax, and a few of those
Jon Hall, Maria Montez films.

Most of his other films are not very well remembered today.

After leaving the film industry in the 50s he worked as a photographer. He returned to acting in the 90s appearing in a few movies and TV series.

Perhaps the last surviving male actor who appeared in the Universal horror films as an adult. Dan listed most of the surviving Universal horror performers in a recent post in the following thread.
