I had been debating which Universal horror film to watch on Halloween night, until Dan's recent Karloff & Lugosi post inspired me to choose Werewolf of London.

I had not seen Werewolf of London for quite some time, and thoroughly enjoyed it! It's a good story with an outstanding cast, led by Henry Hull, Warner Oland and Valerie Hobson.

Hope all had a Happy Halloween.

On Halloween I watched TCM part of the afternoon and evening.
I watched:
The Devil Bat
The Body Snatcher
Frankenstein
Son of Frankenstein
The Wolf Man - First half

All great Halloween flicks Dan, and all with either Boris Karloff (Frankenstein), Bela Lugosi (The Devil Bat, The Wolf Man) or both actors (The Body Snatcher, Son of Frankenstein) in their casts!

The Devil Bat (1940) is a bargain-budget but still entertaining Lugosi picture from the PRC studio. The film's female lead is Suzanne Kaaren, previously memorable as Gail Tempest, the leggy girl who dances in the courtroom in the classic Three Stooges short film Disorder in the Court (1936).
