Of my favorite Universal horror "oldies" I'd say "The Black Cat" from 1934 is my second favorite. (Bride of Frankenstein still my favorite.) Black Cat had a good story, great music (much was used in later Flash Gordon serials), interesting art deco settings, a touch of class, and a tad of humor. Watch carefully if you want a glimpse of Carridine...think its an overhead view of him as the organist.

I don't have access to MeTV, a Time Warner channel. I've a different cable provider, and have requested the channel. Nevertheless, if you've access to it or a dvd, watch or re-watch it, a good oldie...one of those worth additional viewings.
