I only saw this once on TV back in 1967.

I remember being disappointed because I thought it was going to be another vampire movie from Hammer, but there were no vampires and it wasn't from Hammer.

Anyway, it was quite bloody from what I think I remember. And there was some bit of the supernatural involved I guess.

The story was about a doctor brought back to life and needing blood to survive. Some how he worked as a prison warden or someone like that in charge.

The blood the doctor received was done by transfusions he had an assistant perform and he got the blood from the prisoners that he was in charge of.

I got kind of bored with it half way through when I realized there was not going to be any real vampires, ala Dracula.

But I would like to see this again to form a better opinion of it.
