Subject: Best Haunted House Films

I'm a huge fan of haunted house movies.
Everything from "The Uninvited" (and before that) to "Burnt Offerings".
What are your favorite haunted house films?

The Old Dark House (1932) set the standard, and what a cast! Boris Karloff, Melvyn Douglas, Charles Laughton, Lilian Bond, Ernest Thesiger, Eva Moore, Raymond Massey, Gloria Stuart, etc.

The Uninvited (1944) Another classic, with Ray Milland.

House on Haunted Hill (1959) A fun spook house romp with Vincent Price.

The Bat (1959) I thought of this whodunit after Frankie mentioned it in an earlier post. Vincent Price and Agnes Moorehead. Scary fun.

The Legend of Hell House (1973) A superb film with Roddy McDowall and Pamela Franklin. It used to show up on cable a lot, but is seldom seen anymore.

Thanks Tim!
I've seen all those with the exception of Hell House.
I'll be sure to check it out.

You might also want to check out "The Haunting" (1963)

I saw this in NYC when I was 14.
I don't scare that easily...but this ghost movie gave me a few chills.
