Subject: Ingrid Pitt

Ingrid Pitt, an actress featured in several notable horror films of the 1960s and 1970s, has passed away at age 73.

She is best known for starring in the Hammer Film productions The Vampire Lovers (1970) and Countess Dracula (1971).

She also appeared in The House That Dripped Blood (1971) and The Wicker Man (1973).

Ms Pitt was born in Poland in 1937, and as a child spent three years in a Nazi concentration camp.

She wrote several books, including her memoir, "Life's a Scream" (1999).
