The Brides of Dracula (1960) has always been one of my favorite Hammer pictures. A sequel to Horror of Dracula (1958), Brides does not include the Count Dracula character. Here are some of my favorite moments, primarily from the early sections of the film so as not to give away too many spoilers.

The opening narration telling of Transylvania and Count Dracula.

The lovely Marianne Danielle, while traveling from Paris to a Ladies Academy where a teaching position awaits her, is left stranded in a small village after being abandoned by her coach driver.

Marianne accepts the invitation of Baroness Meinster to spend the night at her castle.

Marianne finds that Baron Meinster, the son of the Baroness, appears to be held captive at the castle, confined by a leg shackle and chain. The Baroness says it is because he is insane.

Taking pity on the charming young Baron, Marianne gives him the key that unlocks his leg iron.

Greta, the family servant, cackles maniacally upon learning that the wicked Baron Meinster has been set free.

Dr Van Helsing (Peter Cushing) finds Marianne passed out in the woods.

Van Helsing goes to Chateau Meinster, where he encounters Baron Meinster as well as the Baroness.

Baron Meinster visits Marianne at her school, and announces that the two are to be wed.

Marianne's roommate Gina becomes the latest victim of Baron Meinster.

Like Tim, "Brides of Dracula" is one of my favorite Hammer films. "Horror of Dracula" tops my favorite list.

Tim has Brides pretty much covered.

The only other scenes I'd ad without giving anything away, is when Van Helsing took care of the vampire bite on his neck and the climax.

The opening scenes of "Horror of Dracula" wasn't as eerie as the Lugosi Dracula. But some of the dialog was good.

The arrival of Van Helsing and Dracula entering the girls bedroom and all the other scenes with Dracula and Van Helsing were also good moments.
And of course the climax of the film was great.

In Dracula, Prince of Darkness the revival of Dracula from the ashes and his destuction are great moments.

The destruction of Dracula in Risen From the Grave was a great.

"Scars Of Dracula" has a similar revival scene to Prince of Darkness and the end is great too.

Well I really need to watch these Hammer Dracula's again to refresh my memory on the some of the other best moments.
