Subject: Review of 'Buck Rogers' 70th Ann Edition (2009)

I finally took out some personal time and on my new 42" plasma tv by Sanyo to have a look (the 53" Sony can wait til another time). Overall, the new transfers of the 35mm prints are superior to the old 16mm ones that were used for VCI's 2000 edition. You have a crystal clear image that just pops out at you. The audio is pristine and you can hear everything in it. You will also note the 2009 DVD opens up with Jimmy McHugh's theme cue with the spinning Universal globe (which was not present on the 2000 edition). Buster would be happy.
