That is great news for Universal fans. According to the article five rarely seen horror films were available as of October 31. Murders in the Zoo (1933), The Mad Doctor of Market Street (1942), The Strange Case of Dr. Rx (1942), The Mad Ghoul (1943) and House of Horrors (1946). And it's good news for Lionel Atwill fans too, as three of the five releases include him in the cast.

Murders in the Zoo was a Paramount Picture, the other four were Universals.

Yes, good news. It will be interesting to see how many Universal's TCM will telecast and apply for DVD video. It's long overdue. I had seen the 5-DVD film set last week, but didn't know what ones they were. Last night I found out and wasn't surprised to see the three with Atwill. Murders in the Zoo (1933) is a Paramount film that Universal acquired distribution and home video rights for many years ago. They plan on airing some of these as well on TCM. You can also vote at TCM for the films you'd like them to air.

Boy, Did I JUMP for this one! Of the set, I'd only seen MAD GHOUL, and I'm really looking forward to the others.

I have the two 1942 Atwill films, but I don't think I've ever seen Murders in the Zoo. And it's been ages since I've seen The Mad Ghoul and House of Horrors.

Applause to TCM for bringing these hard to find films to DVD!

Tim
