Yes, indeed, he was a real English gentleman who is still dearly beloved by many who still hold him in their hearts.

While there are several for me, 3 guys often stand out in my mind when classic "Horror" movies are brought up...Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, and Vincent Price. Of these, I gotta give the high mark to............

Boris Karloff

The first movie I saw with Boris Karloff's was Frankenstein on Shock Theater on Oct 10 1957 a week after seeing Dracula. The second Karloff movie I saw was "The Mummy" which aired a week later on Oct 17.

I then got to see Boris Karloff on The Dinah Shore
Chevy Show on Oct 27 1957.
I also got to see Boris on the "This is Your Life" show a couple of weeks later.

It was a great joy for me then to have seen the man behind the Frankenstein monster and The Mummy on live TV as he was in 1957 so soon after watching "Frankenstein and "The Mummy."

Boris Karloff gave his best in every film.

I saw Boris Karloff's appearance on This Is Your Life as a rerun many years after its original broadcast. It's an excellent program, with appearances by makeup man Jack Pierce and Karloff's daughter, Sara Jane. It was Karloff's 70th birthday.
