"Hooray for David Dornford!" I cherish this tiny "bit" because it is the only known screen appearance by James Whale, and the only known recording of his voice. I also love the cast...All of them...from Lionel Atwill all the way through to Diana Wynyard. Beautiful! The film was a perfect adaptation of Galsworthy's work, and a spot-on rendering of a way of life and class that was slowly dying. I personally consider it robbery that James Whale wasn't given an OSCAR nod for this film. Colin Clive also deserved kudos for HIS great performance.
