I first saw "Spider Woman Strikes Back" when I was a kid, and I was disappointed and bored.

The second time I saw SWSB was about 25 years ago, and I liked it more, but thought Rondo Hatton was wasted.

But after seeing SWSB again recently, I liked it a lot better. Now I think Hatton adds to the creepiness of the film.

But what really makes this film enjoyable, is Sondergaard's acting.

Well my favorite moments are when Jean (Brenda Joyce) arrives at the house and gets creeped out by Mario (Hatton) when she sees his face.

When Zenobia (Gale Sondergaard) is feeding spiders to the plant, and the plant wraps a vine around her arm and she treats it like an affectionate pet cat or dog.

Mario creeping around making Jean nervous, and later touching the unconscious Jean, and Zenobia catches him and scolds him.

Jean catching Zenobia touching a spider on a leaf, and realizes Zenobia isn't blind, which leads to the climax of the film.
