THE Bay City Rollers will jet to the States next month to face a $100million court battle.
The 70s rockers are suing their former record label over £63million of royalties.

And the band hope the court case will finally end their fight for their cash.

Bass guitarist Alan Longmuir, 62 - who now works as a plumber - said: "I am not a rich man, but I hope to be after the court case.

"When the Rollers broke up we had money, but nothing like what we should have had. A lot of people ripped us off.

"If we reach a settlement I won't be stupid with the money - I'm past that. It won't change my life - at 62 I've got used to a certain life."

Band members have hired top royalties lawyer Joshua Krumholz to fight their case against Arista Records, due to start in New York on March 1.

They claim the label owes them millions in royalties from their albums, merchandise and other recordings over the past 25 years.

Longmuir - who will be joined in America by former bandmate Les McKeown - said: "Nobody really knows how much we earned and we don't know if we are going to get the money.

"You wonder where it is going. We recently had a number one album - I never saw anything from it."

The lawsuit - which was filed at the US District Court in Manhattan - states the only payment the band received was £133,000 in September 1997.

Last year Arista failed in a bid to have the Rollers' claims dismissed.

Longmuir of Bannockburn, Stirlingshire, added: "I just hope we will now at last get what is due to us and justice will be done."
