Well Sata is a type of 5 1/4 15K RPM Drive used in Servers, SAS is a new Type of 1/2 Size Drive used in Blade Servers but it runs at 10K RPM. More drives in less space but slower drives, so Applications would go on SATA, Data would go on SAS...as for me, I couldn't code my way out of a wet paper bag...I'm Sys Admin, not a Developer.
