Last week a hacker planted a worm on our website http://www.jagnavy-marineadvocate.com which has been upgraded over the weekend to spread malware. When suspicious activity was first reported by Google, I checked the site personally three times - nothing could be found and my computer was unharmed. However that changed over the weekend. If your computer is acting odd [you will have had to access our site this past week when the more malicious site was added] you'll find the following-- Virus and Anti-Spyware scans will find: Generic FakeAlert.d!gen or Trojan.Fake Alert Trojan.Agent Trojan.Downloader Your Program Files will contain a new folder called 'Avenger' And your task manager will show the following programs running: wpv711250008288.exe msword98.exe 9129837.exe braviax.exe Sad to say the only thing you can do is trash all files on the computer and start over. I sincerely apologize to anyone who suffered because someone does not like JAG or my story. Karen, Janlaw and I are working to see what we can do to fix this situation but very soon, our website will cease to exist. It's for the best. By ruining someone computer, it is no different that malciously destroying someones home.
