Subject: Thank You

To every man and woman who ever donned a uniform for our great nation. I can not imagine what war is truely like. but I know that far to many of you have had or are having first hand experiances that would give anybody nightmares for life.

Your Courage and sacrifices make it possible for people like me to stay safely home and raise my child.

My uncle served in the Army during Viet Nam. While both my grandfathers and a great uncle served in W.W.II. My great uncle never made it home.

I know it's never easy returning to civilian life after such experiances, you've been forced to learn to trust so few people, and those whom you do trust either never make it back home or live far away; and your loved ones have no way of understanding who you now are and what you've been through.

My prayers are nightly with you all, those who have made it home with wounds both invisable and obvious for you are never able to fully leave your battles behind and are therefor still daily sacrificing for us all. I also pray for those who never came home to their families and friends, may they rest in peace knowing that they are remembered as loved sons and daughters who are not forgotten.

In short Thank You one and all for taking up the call to secure the freedom of people like me and my family.

Sincerly,
Amy M. Simeister
Buffalo, NY.
