Subject: Anybody know a Markoja or Markoya in the service?

Looking for any information on Matija Markoja- possible spelling change to Matthew Markoya.
Male between the ages of 20-25

First met at convention in Washington D.C. 7 years ago.
Lost contact with him in 2003
From the east coast region (Maryland Delaware Virginia Pennsylvania New York or New Jersey) family was of Slavic European descent.
Not sure what branch of the service he joined.
Looking for someone who knows where he might be serving, a way to contact him, or what he is doing? Anything. Particularly if he is in Iraq or Afghanistan.
