Welcome to Nuweiba !

Nuweiba is a beautiful, tranquil tourist destination located between the Sinai mountains of Egypt and the blue, coral rich seas of the Gulf of Aqaba. The name Nuweiba actually means bubbling springs and the area is really a large, sandy flood plain of over 15 square kilometres dotted with date palm trees and originally inhabited by two different bedouin tribes, the Tarabeen to the north and the Maizena some 7 km to the south. Near to Tarabeen is Nuweiba Town where the government offices are located, along with the hospital, police HQ, small hotels, restaurants and shops. Just before Maizena is the Nuweiba Port where a seperate town has sprung up with banks, shops, bus station, cafes and other services. In between the Port and Nuweiba Town are some delightful little hotels with beautiful beaches, superb snorkeling and diving and offering excellent opportunities for rest, relaxation and recreation.
