I've a couple of questions:
1. how many crystals do you typically put on a novice dress (for a teenager)? I'm wanting to order them and want to get enough. Where do you place them? Are there any rules for placement? We're using Seven Gates design # 97 BTW.

2. what is an economical source for dry-cleanable crystals? (U.S. or Canada) Are sew-on ones best?

Replies:
I usually use about 1 gross of size 30 or 34 on an average dress. I glue them on, The metal prongs seem to catch on everything, no matter hoe tight you get them. I buy them downtown LA at Bohemian Crystal, they will mail order.

Could anyone tell me where I can order Austrian crystals to glue onto my daughter's solo dress?

-In Canada, you can get crystals at E.H. Ashley. Phone 905-206-0073 for a sample and price list. They are in the Toronto area.

-I bought some for my daughter's dress at Wolff-Fording Co. in Needham, MA. It is a shop that caters to dancers and costumers and has quite a selection of crystals, as well as interesting fabrics.
