Closing the door quietly behind her, the young maiden quickly slips out of her plain cotton gown and glides over the wash basin. Getting a soft wash cloth, she gets it damp and washes herself off quickly. Then walking over to her armoire she searches through it and soon pulls out a dark blue, silk skirt and silk blouse. Dressing quickly, she brushes her curly red hair and decides to leave it hanging softly about her shoulders. Deciding to go barefoot, she throws her dirty garments into the laundry basket and then exits her chambers, heading back downstairs.
