I have found a much overlooked avenue for a career in loss prevention. They are retailers in secondary markets which basically equates to lower income communities. Stores out of the mainstream that people might think are mom & pop clothing stores like Rainbow, Anna'a Linens, Deb Shops, Fashion 21, 579 shops, Fashion Barn, Caren Charles, Foxmoor, Best Price Fashions, etc. But you'd be amazed to find that these are national retailers all with 600 or more locations. Because the stores are spread out, the territories are statewide or multi state areas of responsibility. Great for the single person that doesn't mind 20% to 30% overnight travel. Most of these jobs come with a company car or generous car allowance.
