Subject: .~.The Wind Blows from the East.~.

The seasoned male lifts his head from the
succulent shoots, scenting a mare upon the wind.
~Close~ She prances suddenly into his vision,
all color and vibrance. Ears flicking to and forth,
nostrils flaring all the while, he watches her pawing
the air between clouds and solid ground. Watches as
she tears off into the distance till she is but a fleck upon the horizon. He gathers himself, large
frame rocking back upon toned haunches as the digs in the soft earth with dark forefeet moving off in full motion. He calls once, voicing his excitement at the chase, then lowers head letting all energy flow into the stride. Muscles moving easily beneath slate grey hide he runs, tail flying behind. ~Chase. Chase. Chase.~
